Two b-day shout-outs go to two particualar temporary Parisian party animals - Tim "still-not-old-enough-to-drink-but-does-so-anyway" Wood and Cassidy "Sling Shot" DeLine. Yesterday we started off the weekend festivities with a trip to the champagne region of France for a couple delightful tours. Actually, wait. The weekend really started off the night before, making the day trip to Reims (pronounced "Ras!" with an extra nasally inflection) all the more difficult. But we made it there and back and we are ready to bring in the birthday weekend with a grand sendoff tonight. Thank God we have two days to recover afterward (yet another holiday this Monday!).

Never have two people so dark been placed so close to this jersey. We look good though, I gotta say. Where are those "dark Irish" I keep hearing about?

So I totally robbed this pic from someone's facebook album, but I repost unashamedly, much like how I dragged this 26 pack through the town and into the restaurant.

This was a local sneaking in on our group and making sarcastic comments. Made the tour bearable at least.

Pfau. Why, oh why would you bring a half-boiled egg on the bus? No napkin. No plate. No utencils. Shell everywhere. This is def one of his smartest moments.

I do believe this was in the middle of Paranoid Android. Don't think that entire song can be done with a guitar and accapella? Think again.

This night we passed up the woods for a guitar and the annex where no one could hear us.

Our next town never really recovered from one of the many wars in these parts (notice delapidated castle in the background).

Bizarro-Brendan comes out when he drinks. Bizarro-Brendan can be a dick sometimes. Like when he steals Beto's camera and starts taking pictures of people in the pitch black woods with the flash on. The results above.

No, I didn't forget to turn the pic around. These people are just very sideways in general.

Chilling out in the woods outside the chateau. How more typical spoiled college students can we get?

These buildings may not be particularly interesting, but at least they provide nice backgrounds.

This is one of about 12 churches we saw over the weekend. No seriously. Even my dad would have had enough churches already. I was running ten to one odds on seeing three chruches on one particular two-hour tour. Thank God no one took me up on those odds.

you know it's spring time!

Seeing that I haven't seen or heard a good thunderstorm since I was in TX, I very much welcomed the one-hour mega-storm that reminded me of the home-state that occured here this afternoon. Ah. I might not be able to get back there for awhile, but I can always reminisce, listen to Pat Green, and put on my drawl that my parents would cringe at if they ever heard come out of my mouth. No, I have no idea where it came from, but I do have a very good friend that attends Texas A&M and I have spent more time than any human should in College Station, TX.

Getting psyched about a move to Colorado. Especially the part where I actually I don't have to do any moving (oh my siblings are gonna hate me). Great skiing and good times to be had in another state.

The Bing trip overall was a great success. I didn't get nearly as much stuff as I needed for Micha's article, but that's what the internet is for! The sights were beautiful and the company was lively. So how could one go wrong? After many a sing-a-long and late-night composing, I'm missing my guitars more than ever. Luckily I have three buddies to mooch off of for the rest of the quarter.

I'm having a blast, pull it out of my...

The weekend pics will be up soon.

I'm up much too late for 9am class, but those crazy republicans in the TX house put on the best comedy routines to hit the state in awhile. Cheers to Governor Perry for calling the special session for the my amusement and the joy of the big-business lobby.

How many hyphen-ated words can one include in one journal entry? Who knows, but it's still good to know that a quality book like "Eats, Shoots, and Leaves" still has a significant impact on me.
