Don't Cry Tim...

we're all sad that the quarter has to pass so quickly. Seems like we just barely got here and everyone is finalizing their summer plans back to the states/elsewhere in Europe. Cassidy is about to bounce to the States for two weeks for summer training and by the time she gets back Johnny will be gone and Zoe will be fixing to leave soon after. So sad. We must live up every last moment.
Yesterday Johnny and I were trying to do exactly that by joining some enthusiastic young Frenchies at our local to see the Champions League final which was taking place a couple of miles to the north in the Stade de France. We got to see two of France's best - Ronaldinho for FC Barcelona and Henry for Arsenal - battle it out for the title. In the end, Barce was able to take advantage of the red card early in the game and score two quick goals in the second half to take the title 2-1. The really cool part is that I put in a bet to one of the enthusiastic young Frenchman that Barcelona would take the game 2-1. Unfortunately six other people had also predicted that exact outcome as well so I only got 4.50 euro from my 1 euro investment. Still cool though, I don't think I've ever won a sports bet before. Johnny and I took our winnings to the nearest Daily Monop and quickly bought all the booze we could with barely over five dollars. I think you'd be surprised how much we got. I sure was as I woke up this morning with four hours left to finish four pages in my Human Rights take-home. I still got it done. No worries.
This weekend should be a productive one. 'Should be' being the key. The only crazy times scheduled is a Stanford spring tradition that we are bringing to the sunny skies of Paris - sloshball. It really can't get more American college activity that sloshball, but I think that's kinda the point. Enough culture already and let's play a nice good ol' American "game." BTW, if you don't know what exactly sloshball is, ask me at a later time. I hear my little brother reads this (happy birthday!).
That's about it for now. Hope everyone is having a wonderful spring so far!

Take a look...

at what my mom just sent me. "Just too good to pass up?" That's what I'm supposed to tell my parents when I go to school two thousand miles away or decide to hop continents for a year, not the other way around! Still, can't help but feel some pride. Especially with the fact that dean nitwit was just surpassed by a subordinate and was to forced to adulate him in the local paper. Life is good for the Juarez'. Plus, I simply can't wait to get to that Colorado skiing.

Hope everyone enjoyed the Barcelona pics!

Oh yeah, we broke down. All we needed was some reliable coffee. So it had to be done.

Obviously Johnny just wasn't that into it. Luckily the waiters in the bar didn't really mind and simply stepped over him the entire time he occupied this wall.

We left shortly after this, but you better believe that Kos and Cass stayed well after until the sun rose, the kids went home, the beach was visited the clothes came off, and as Kos put it, "my naked pe*** met the Mediterranean."

This guy has such a big smile on his face simply from the amusement of seeing Koslow's wicked moves.
