It was pointed out to me...

yesterday that the pics below can be a little confusing since they span much more than one weekend. Most of them are from my time in Berlin, but there's also stuff in there from the end of the quarter in Paris and our class trip to Strasbourg to visit the European Court of Human Rights. The camera isn't getting nearly as many clicks as it used to, but maybe that will change soon. This Friday is our roommate Olya's birthday. We're hoping to have a mix of people over to celebrate. Maybe the camera will come out then.

I'm in work...

and I'm not doing anything particularly exciting. Actually it's really boring busy work that only an intern would get. They're called compliance reviews; a fancy name for some poor schmuck that checks that all the necessary signatures and initials in the audit reports are complete. Then I stumbled upon something good. I knew that one of the managers here had the initials VP. He's Russian. And according to one of these files, his last name is Popov. Brilliant.

Oh freshman year! How I remember your cheap, cheap vodka that came in a plastic jug and delightfully bore the name Popov in bright white blocks against a solid red backgroud, evoking images of the good ol' Soviet days. I doubt it's true, but I'm personally choosing to believe that this guy's family is definitely the producer of said vodka.
