or rather don't.

I just had a pleasant dinner with my host mother, her daughter, and her thirty-something son (who doesn't live with his mom but gives off the distinct impression that he does) who I just met for the first time. As usual the dinner was fab but very late. We started off on innocent enough conversations: movies and actors. Then we somehow got on to family business. Particularly the affairs of the divorced-father's family. Damn. Never heard such fast French and so many derogatory statements in French. Luckily all three would stop every five minutes to fill me in on the gossip in very fast Franglish. Needless to say it was very amusing and probably good for the language skills. Something like the night the pic above was taken.

Oh, I so have an expose to give tomorrow and I'm not done. Not that I'm procrastinating or anything. Tim is trying to convince me to go out right now on AIM. Give me the strength to say no. Or not drink that much so I can get my ass up in the morning to finish.

Although the picture might indicate...

a singing and harmonica-playing good time, unfotunately the time for work is upon us. Midterms are here and they busted in like no one invited them to the party. Well frankly no one really did invite them. In nine hours my econ midterm begins and so does a week of hell that can only be capped off by the sunny Mediterranean coast of Catalunya. Oh yeah, I can almost feel the rays.

I just had to take a blogger break. But after the hiatus, I'm back with some pics that were taken last weekend. This weekend has been a lot more chill with house parties highlighting the two previous nights. Since we are having yet another holiday tomorrow, a few of us are planning a movie night with home-made dinner this evening. But not before we catch up on a lot of homework. Next weekend brings Catalonya, but before that, two mid-terms are upon us. So we must work! Then enjoy. Have fun with the pics!

Dinner completes a fine evening in Montmartre. If only Tim would seem a little happier about it.

I don't know if people are going to be particularly pleased that this pic is going up, but honestly it was too good to pass up. Koslow: the master of the "nudy-bomb."

Smoked bell pepper comes to the rescue. But Tim can't quite handle the task on his own.

Ladies and gentlemen. The next few pics are memos of the "Great Vodka Taste Test" pleasantly planned by yours truly for the b-day kids. Eristoff, Flagman, and Grey Goose were on trial here. Who would win?? Here Tim and Cass enjoy the spotlight and prepare their livers.

This is Koslow's impression of someone from East L.A. Unfortunately he was missing a wifebeater and became preoccupied with other things.
